Hirox 2D digital microscopy scan of the Scream (1910?)

The full size scan of the Scream (1910?) has been acquired to have a full documentation of the surface topography and condition in 2D.

Images of investigated areas in the selected case studies were acquired with a Hirox 3D Digital Microscope HRX-01, mounted on an ST-T500 Horizontal T-Stand 1000 mm × 1000 mm, allowing inspection and automated XYZ scanning of objects placed vertically. Two different sets of lenses were used: HR-1020E Telecentric polarized lenses for acquiring the scans ranging from 10× to 90× magnification. The HRX-01 software controls the motorized XY and Z axis to achieve automated stitching (gigapixel panorama) as well as 3D depth maps using focus variation (also called focus stacking).
